Heat your oven to 150°C.
Cut your loaf of bread into small cubes, place on an oven tray and drizzle with olive oil.
Season with salt and pepper & bake in the oven for 15 -20 minutes without colouring the bread.
Use dark bread to get the earthy look of potted vegetables.

Prepare the hummus and wash the vegetables.
Deseed the cucumber and peel the carrots.
Cut the vegetables into 10 -14 cm sticks.

Crush the bread cubes into a fine mix and set aside.
Place a small bowl in your (clean) garde pot and fill with the hummus until just below the edge.
Scatter the bread mix over it, now it looks like a pot with ground.
Decoratively place the vegetables in the 'soil' and garnish with herbs.
Dig in........!!
