Wash the rice with ample water 3-4 times.

Pour water into pan and bring to the boil.

When water is boiling, first add the rice, then add the other ingredients.

Put a lid on the pan and boil for 3 minutes exactly.

After 3 minutes take the pan from the heat and let rest. Use the part boiled rice in your Biryani.
